Arrive Early
15–20 minutes early.
We'll ask about injuries, surgeries, medications, anything that affects your practice. Pick a good spot. Get oriented.
Hydration
Water only in class. Plain water.
We don't drink for the first 20 minutes. Then water breaks every few postures. For your first class, drink when you need to, between postures only.
Dizziness is normal. It will pass. If you need to leave, go at the end of a posture. Re-enter between postures.
Before class: Sip water throughout the day.
After class: Coconut water replaces minerals lost through sweat.
Don't Eat
Empty stomach.
A regular meal takes 3–4 hours to digest. A banana or bar, 1 hour. That's it.
What to Wear
Men: Running or swim shorts. T-shirt optional (cotton gets heavy when wet).
Women: Sports bra or tank. Shorts to below-knee. No sweatpants—they get in the way.
Don't own yoga clothes? Come as you are. See what works. Adjust later.
What to Bring
- Yoga mat (rentals available)
- Large towel (rentals available)
- Water bottle
We take card, debit, Venmo.
Your First Class
Take it easy.
Don't push. The first 5–10 classes are for learning the practice and the heat. Your body and mind need time to connect.
Do the postures. If you feel overwhelmed or overheated, sit on your mat, legs crossed or on your knees. Please don't lie down in Savasana unless it is the pose the class is in. Rest. Breathe. When you're ready, keep going.
That's it.
